Safe Standing: Roker End

Sunderland AFC confirmed on Tuesday morning that safe standing will be introduced at the Stadium of Light for the 2024-25 season.

Following this announcement, we understand that supporters currently located in the Roker End may have a range of questions relating to their season ticket renewal.

Fans are advised that rails will be installed across blocks U14 and U37, from row 23, and blocks U38 and U39, from row 24.

The renewal process for season ticket holders impacted by the introduction of safe standing remains the same and all the information you need to know about your season ticket renewal is available via:

  • Your e-ticketing account
  • The personalised renewal email we sent you on Tuesday
  • Our dedicated season ticket hub page - safc.com/seasontickets

We understand that some fans may no longer wish to be situated in the area now designated for safe standing and moving seat ahead of the 2024-25 season couldn’t be easier.

When renewing your season ticket, simply select an alternative seat when completing the purchase process via your online e-ticketing account.

Alternatively, you can renew your existing seat as planned and email safestanding@safc.com to request a seat move, with this process set to take place from Monday 6 May. The ticket office will prioritise this request and contact you to discuss available options from that point onward.

We will also support fans located in blocks U40 and U13, who will be situated next to the area designated for safe standing, if they wish to move seats following the start of the season.

Fans wishing to move into the area designated for safe standing should renew their existing season ticket as planned before expressing an interest by emailing safestanding@safc.com by Friday 3 May.

The Club will continue to engage with supporters to monitor and review the impact of safe standing, and if you have any further questions, please reach out via the email address above and a member of our ticketing team will be in touch.
