Working with the business community

Working with the business community

There are a number of ways that companies can help support the Foundation.

We are always looking for new partners to work with, as well as new opportunities to make our programmes more effective and available to an even wider community.

There are a wide variety of ways companies can help support the Foundation of Light, giving you the opportunity to contribute to your community and demonstrate your corporate social responsibility (CSR) while enjoying some unique benefits in the process.

The Foundation of Light has an impressive track record for developing bespoke CSR programmes to deliver results in the community.

As we have with long-standing partners such as Cestria Community Housing and Caterpillar Peterlee, we can help your company tackle issues that are relevant locally in areas such as youth unemployment, health, education and skills development.

Corporate Membership

One of the easiest ways to contribute to the development of the local community is to become a Foundation of Light Corporate Member. While you're helping the Foundation of Light to help others, you will receive some fantastic benefits, including invitations to unique events such our 'Top Scorer' celebration event where you'll hear first-hand from people who’ve benefitted from your donation, and a 'Tip-off Lunch' where you can pose your questions to the Sunderland AFC manager.

Corporate Membership Benefits

  • Increase your networking and business contacts and gain access to exclusive events for just £250 (plus VAT) per season and receive a framed certificate of thanks, a monthly e-newsletter and bi-annual broadsheets and priority booking for all Foundation of Light events.
  • Claim a Sunderland AFC matchday programme signed by a member of the first-team squad by allowing the Foundation of Light to automatically renew your membership by standing order.
  • Pledge your support to helping local people and families through the Foundation’s exciting programmes for five years (making the full payment of £1,250 plus VAT), you will receive a personalised shirt signed by Sunderland AFC manager Martin O’Neill.

To sign up for Corporate Membership call Jennifer Smith on 0191 551 5191 or request a call back by emailing jennifer.smith@safc.com

Sponsorship opportunities

The Foundation of Light offers many opportunities for sponsorship and, in return, can provide superb sponsor benefits, including extensive PR exposure and unrivalled sponsor experiences.

We work with thousands of families and tens of thousands of children across the North East, have access to matchday promotional tools and have excellent media links both regionally and nationally.

Sponsorship of a Foundation of Light event or programme is a terrific way to promote your company's charitable giving, increase exposure and demonstrate your company's corporate and social responsibilities.

To discuss Sponsorship Opportunities please contact our commercial team on 0191 551 5191.
