Mikael signed for Sunderland in summer 2011.

The 6'3" striker impressed during a trial with the club and was handed a two-year scholarship.

The Frenchman, who qualifies internationally for England and Scotland, had been playing in his homeland with Bolougne.

He made 24 appearances for the young Black Cats in 2011-12, scoring six goals.

Mandron has made a real impact in 2012-13 with 12 goals in 13 under-18 appearances earning him a promotion to Kevin Ball’s development squad.

And he made the step up to the first team in March 2013, making the bench as an unused substitute against Manchester United in Martin O'Neill's final game in charge.

He made his debut as a late substitute during Sunderland's 6-1 defeat to Aston Villa the following month.
