Kit and equipment executive (Full-time)
40 hours per week
This role will provide daily support to the Kit Manager and help with all aspects of Kit and Equipment for players, coaches and staff, including – ordering, printing and distributing kit; managing the packing and transportation of kit and equipment for fixtures and tours; preparing all match kits in accordance to league and cup regulations, and assisting with inventory and budgets throughout the season.
Sunderland AFC adopt a one club approach and the below responsibilities and accountabilities include all teams within the club including First Team, Women’s and Academy as required and instructed by your line manager.
Responsibilities
· Continually work towards the Club’s corporate strategic goals.
· Communicate, promote and protect the Club values to enhance an elite high-performance environment.
· Attend all professional development events and actively engage in a personal development plan and integrated appraisal process.
· Ensure compliance with all the policies and procedures contained within the Staff Handbook, paying regard to the Equal Opportunity, Dignity at Work and Health & Safety and security policies.
· To coordinate a controlled way of kit distribution ensuring all items are listed to match budget requirements
· To ensure the Club brand is promoted as allowed on all apparel/ kit
· Ensure all logos are compliant with Club, League and Sponsor guidelines.
· Ensure the appropriate attire is available for forecasted weather conditions
· Pack and ship all kit as required/necessary for match day, training, and preseason tours
· Ensure all players have the correct number/sets of any piece of clothing required that is personalised to the player
· Ensure all clothing has been cleaned and maintained, or replaced as necessary.
· Coordinate the organisation of Club apparel/kit and ensure it is organised for travelling, training, and match days, depending upon the Clubs requirements and player preference.
· To follow company policies and guidelines with regards to company vehicle use
· Ensure all defects of any company vehicle being used are reported and/ or fixed directly as required
· Set up all players’ lockers at the stadium (home and away) with correct kit prior to kick-off
· Be aware of visiting team’s kit and highlight any changes or discrepancies to the Kit Manager and make appropriate changes.
· To record and monitor stock levels of training and match kit, including regular stock checks
· To liaise with the Retail department for stock levels
· Application of appropriate personalisation of all kit and training wear
· Organise and ensure all footballs (appropriately branded), tools to take care of all the equipment and extra studs for players cleats are available
· support the laundry department in the delivery of a first-class laundry service
· Washing of kits in line with garment guidance and support laundry department as required
· Stock management of all kit and equipment
· Hold a valid UK driving licence
· Accountable for the stock control of all kit equipment for First Team, Women and Academy teams
· Accountable for the transportation of all kit on matchdays for First Team, Women and Academy teams
· Set high standards of cleanliness of kit and the kit/ boot room
