Academy spotlight: Host of international call-ups for young guns

The list of our academy youngsters receiving international honours is increasing all the time.

No fewer than 14 of the club’s young guns have been called up to represent their national squads in 2018, from under-15s to full internationals. 

While Elliot Embleton represented England under-20s in Toulon last summer, the midfielder has become a regular in the under-19 age group while second-year scholar Andrias Edmundsson continues to represent Faroe Island.

Defender Sam Brotherton has continued to represent New Zealand while Jack Newman and Liam Miller have recently featured for Scotland under-17s.
