Soup Kitchen Collection: Fill your foodbank

The Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen is conducting a foodbank collection for Saturday's game against Norwich City.

The collection will run from 1:30pm until kick-off at 3pm.

All donations are welcome, especially non-perishable foods with long shelf life packaged in tins, packets and boxes.

The Food Bank's wish list includes:

  • Tinned curry and chilli,
  • Tinned meatballs,
  • Tinned spaghetti in bolognese,
  • Pot noodles,
  • Pasta in sauce,
  • Tinned fruit,
  • Tinned custard and rice pudding,
  • Tins of tuna,
  • Tinned carrots, peas and sweetcorn.
The collection area will be located on the corner of the car park opposite the Roker End cafe.

The collection against Norwich is the second of our pre-Christmas collections to take place, with another planned later this year for the clash with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 9 December.

Over the past few years, we have helped raise over £100,000 through the Roker Report appeal and your support will once again be vital to supporting those within our community who need it most.

Any donations are hugely appreciated.
