Sunderland AFC can confirm that Lee Butler has left the club with immediate effect.
The goalkeeping coach departs the Stadium of Light to join Wrexham AFC and link up with former SAFC manager Phil Parkinson at the Racecourse Ground.
Butler moved to Wearside in November 2019, having previously worked under Parkinson at Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers.
Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “Lee has been a great personality around the club and we thank him for his contribution. We all wish him the very best in his next venture.”
A thorough and extensive recruitment process to appoint a new first-team goalkeeping coach will commence immediately.
