Sunderland AFC today confirmed its retained list for the 2022-23 season.
Following promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, Bailey Wright, Lynden Gooch and Patrick Roberts have been offered new contracts at the Stadium of Light.
Winger Aiden McGeady will depart the club after five years, while Arbenit Xhemajli, Jordan Willis and Lee Burge will also leave when their respective contracts expire on 30 June 2022.
Callum Doyle, Jack Clarke, Nathan Broadhead and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann have also returned to their parent clubs.
