Sunderland AFC will start the 2023-24 Sky Bet Championship season at the Stadium of Light, hosting newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
Taking place on Sunday 06 August at 17:00, the opening day encounter against the Tractor Boys will be televised live on Sky Sports.
Tony Mowbray’s side will travel to Deepdale six days later to face Preston North End, before rounding off the opening month of their league campaign by taking on Rotherham United (H) and Coventry City (A).
The Black Cats will also be in Carabao Cup action during the week commencing Monday 07 August, with the first-round draw scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon at 14:30.
Seismic home clashes against Southampton, Leeds United and Leicester City will take place in September, December and March, with Middlesbrough heading to the Stadium of Light in October.
SAFC will travel to Hull City on Boxing Day and they will also hit the road on Good Friday to face Cardiff City, with an Easter Monday match-up with Blackburn Rovers on Wearside also pencilled ahead of the final run-in.
The Lads will end the campaign on home soil, playing host to newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 04 May.
