In Focus: Get to know Romaine Mundle

Romaine Mundle has completed his permanent move to Wearside from Standard Liege and becomes our second signing of the January transfer window.

Get to know our newest addition as we go in-focus into his career.

  • Romaine Lee Mundle was born in London on 24 April 2003.
  • Mundle is a product of Tottenham Hotspur’s academy making 89 appearances at youth level, scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists. His performances went on to earn him his first professional contract signing a deal in May 2021.
  • Mundle went on to train with the first-team on occasion and appeared in the matchday squad for five games in the Premier League and once in the Emirates FA Cup.
  • A move to Belgium was secured in the summer of 2023 with Standard Liege. The winger played under head coach Carl Hoefkens whose assistant was former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.
  • Mundle has made seven appearances in all competitions this season ahead of a permanent move to Wearside.
  • The 20-year-old becomes the second signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of Norwegian defender Leo Hjelde.
