SAFC Women have confirmed four of their pre-season matches for their summer schedule, in preparation for the 2022-23 campaign.
As they prepare contest their second straight season in the Barclays Women’s Championship, the Lasses will face Motherwell, Newcastle United, Hibernian and Nottingham Forest at the Academy of Light.
Having returned to pre-season training on Tuesday 28 June, the first friendly match to be played by Mel Reay’s side is scheduled to be on Sunday 24 July against Motherwell (KO 1pm).
A Wear-Tyne match-up then takes place at the AoL on Thursday 28 July against Newcastle (KO 7pm), before facing Hibs on Sunday 31 July (KO 2:30pm).
The Women will then take on Nottingham Forest at the AoL on Sunday 14 August (KO 2pm).
The Barclays Women’s Championship season is due to get underway the following week on Sunday 21 August. The 2022-23 fixture list is available by clicking here.
