Sunderland AFC Women is delighted to announce the signing of Jenna Dear.
The 27-year-old has signed a professional contract on Wearside and will wear the number 23 shirt.
Dear started out in Reading FC Girls’ Centre for Excellence before joining Chelsea’s academy, later playing for Everton, Watford on loan and Sheffield.
The midfielder then moved overseas to Norway, spending two seasons with Vaalerenga in the Toppserien. Most recently, the 27-year-old has plied her trade in France, first with FC Fleury 91 and most recently with Dijon.
The new recruit has played in England’s youth sides before, most notably for the under-23 side under the tutelage of Lasses Head Coach Mel Reay.
