Sunderland AFC Women is delighted to announce the signing of former London City Lionesses midfielder Katie Kitching.
The midfielder has penned a full-time contract, keeping her on Wearside until 2024.
Kitching spent five years in the USA, studying at the University of South Florida and playing for their first-team squad.
The midfielder returned to the UK and signed for London City Lionesses in January 2022, winning two of the club’s end of 2022-23 season awards.
On making the switch to Wearside, Kitching said: "I'm excited to get going. Everything here is great, the facilities, the people so I'm really excited to get started."
Lasses Head Coach Mel Reay said: "Katie is a hard-working central midfield player. She has a good engine to get around the pitch and will add productivity to our midfield. She has settled in well so far and brings a wealth of experience with her."
