Dan Neil began his career with the Lads, progressing through the ranks before appearing for the Under-18s and Under-23s and has become a senior figurehead at the Club.
Promotion from League One and a Play-Off finish in the Championship are all part of Dan's achievements in the first-team with the central midfielder reaching over 100 appearances for the Club.
The midfielder made his senior debut on 13 November 2018 in the EFL Trophy and scored his first senior goal against Accrington Stanley in September 2021.
A hugely popular figure on Wearside, Dan has also worn the captain's armband for the first-team.
