Ross Stewart signed for Sunderland in January 2021 for an undisclosed fee from Ross County.
The striker clocked up 160 senior appearances in his native Scotland prior to his arrival on Wearside, and won the Scottish Championship title in 2019 with County.
Stewart has also represented St Mirren, Alloa Athletic and Albion Rovers, and struck just 17 minutes into his Sunderland debut against Accrington Stanley in March 2021.
The rangy forward - adept both in the air and running the channels - has become a leading talisman for the Lads, scoring 26 times in 2021-22 to fire the club to promotion to the Championship, also making his senior debut for Scotland.
