Régis Le Bris met the media at the Academy of Light on Wednesday afternoon for the first time.
The Head Coach discussed his playing style, transfers and the importance of the Sunderland supporters, and the impact they can have on his side.
“These fans can provide a high level of energy to the team. By being connected with the team, the Club, the belief in the way we play, they can put fear in the opposition with their energy.
“Momentum during games is important and we have to provide that with creativity, the fans will respond.
“The people in this city are a great strength for this Club. I like the feeling of the fans; we can play with 12 players if they are with us.
“We want them to understand our commitment, our style of play and our desire to win.
“The opportunity to meet the fans at the Club shop was great. I don’t find it difficult to be close to fans, I was once in the stand when I was young, I understand how they enjoy the game.”
